They were the biggest problem when Vista was released and the less than Tech savvy blamed the OS. In fact it's so common that I wrote a similar post a couple of years ago. the number of completed tests, next to it it shows the number of errors. Then it loads again and asks if i want to scan for and fix errors or start windows normally.

this probably isn't the right answer, but it's definitely cheaper and faster than swapping out hardware (unless you have extras on hand, in which case lucky you!). Nothing has worked, not even a clean install of Windows 10 with everything wiped from the drive. Forget Memtest and just keep using the PC as normal and see if the freezing continues. Also, there were several Windows updates that needed to be installed that help resolve the issue.

It was driving me nuts because I built an exact copy of my comp for my wife and hers doesn't have the freeze problem. Computer Freezes For A Few Seconds Then Goes Back To Normal Plug everything back in and you should be all okay.The solar activity will be getting worse so just beware it may happen again but I doubt it. This is another thing that leads me to think that it's a power settings issue as there is a 'do not power down when playing/sharing media' option seems to be what You should also have Windows fully updated.

if that doesnt work, ill pull the hd and cd rom, put it back in the other machine and see if it works.
