I believe the the drive is already erased, does Delete Volume erase the information so I can format it or does it delete the existing partition? I plugged it into my friends computer and it had no problems. It's possible the USB hub doesn't supply enough power. The problem is that when I plug it in it is first recognized (at least it sees something) and then it goes away (with the corresponding sound).
